A finished 27 Pearls app became approved listings on the App Store and Google Play inside a one-week engagement, without a round of rejections. The week covered release builds and signing, listing copy written around the student's benefit, screenshots for every required device size, privacy declarations that matched what the app collects, and a reviewer account that worked. The app remains on Google Play today.

## The Full Story

A finished app is not a launched app. The week that closed the gap on both stores.

### Finished is not launched

An app is not in students' hands until two stores have approved it, and each store rejects for its own reasons: a missing privacy answer, a screenshot at the wrong size, a login a reviewer cannot get past. Every rejection costs days, and for an education app with a term about to start, days matter.

The founder wanted the release done once, properly, inside a fixed week, so the team could stay on the product instead of the paperwork.

### Two listings that sell the book's promise

A store listing is the first page most students ever see of the product, so both were written around the student's benefit: an assistant for college life, built on a book by a college professor, that makes hard things easier. Each store got its own copy, category, age rating and artwork, prepared in App Store Connect and the Play Console.

### The screenshots that decide the install

Most people decide from the screenshots, not the description. The set walks a student through the app in the order they will meet it: sign in, the goals grouped by the parts of college life, this week's goals to tick off, and the rewards waiting at the end, so the value is clear before anyone taps Install.

### Every screen size the stores ask for

A listing missing a required size is sent back, and a rejection costs days. The screenshots were produced for every size requested, phones and both tablet classes on Google Play and each iPhone display size in App Store Connect, from the same build, so every image shows the app exactly as it runs.

### One week, both stores, first time

The whole workflow ran inside a one-week engagement: release builds and signing, store assets, listing copy, privacy and data declarations that match what the app collects, a reviewer account that works, and submission. Both stores approved it without a round of rejections, and the same service is offered on its own to founders who have an app built and need it launched.

### Launched on time

For the founder the week turned a finished build into a launched product with nothing left hanging, and set every later update up to ship through the same approved release process; the Google Play listing was last updated in August 2025. For students it meant the app was there when the term began. The app itself has its own story: 27 Pearls.
