CoverFanz puts performers, venues and fans on one app: venues book performers on written terms, and fans find the next show on a map. A booking carries the event, the times and the fee, the performer attaches their own terms before it goes live, a confirmed event can carry a promotion, and reviews build each performer's record. The backend, the iPhone and Android app and the admin dashboard shipped inside one month in 2022, and both stores approved it on the first attempt.

## The Full Story

Performers, venues and fans on one app, with bookings on clear terms and a founder who launched it inside a month.

### Bookings that lived in direct messages

Live entertainment runs on a loose chain of messages. A venue finds a performer through a friend, agrees a date in a chat, and the terms live in someone's memory until the night goes wrong. Performers have no record of the venues that treated them well, venues cannot see who is reliable, and fans rarely know where the artist they follow is playing next.

CoverFanz puts the three of them on one app. The founder needed it live quickly, so the backend, both mobile apps and the admin dashboard had to ship inside a month.

### Fans find the next show

A fan searches by performer or by venue and lands on a profile with the performer's style, their rating and their next performance. One tap opens the venue on the map with directions, so following an artist turns into turning up.

For performers that is an audience that knows where to find them. For venues it is a crowd that arrives because the act they came for is on the bill.

### Three kinds of account, each one checked

People sign up as a fan, a performer or a venue, and each gets the profile its job needs. A venue confirms its real address against the map when it registers and waits for approval before it can book anyone, so performers only ever receive requests from places that exist.

### A booking with the terms written down

The venue sends a booking with the event, the date and times, the address and the fee. The performer accepts or declines from their activity feed and attaches their own terms and restrictions, which the venue must accept before the booking goes live.

Nothing depends on remembering what was said in a chat. Both sides can see what was agreed, and a declined request is a clear answer rather than silence.

### Promotions that fill the room

Once a booking is confirmed the venue can attach a promotion, a limited-time offer on the night, and share the event straight to social media. Performers pass the offer on to their own followers, so every booking becomes marketing for both the venue and the act.

### Reputation that follows the performer

After the event the venue and the fans review it with a star rating and a few words. The reviews collect on the performer's profile and in their activity feed, so a performer who shows up and delivers builds a record that wins the next booking, and a venue can choose an act on evidence instead of a rumour.

### Safe to use, paid to book

Anyone can report a profile for abusive language, an inappropriate picture or another reason, and the report goes to the founder's admin dashboard for action. Browsing is free, while booking through the booking agent needs a subscription, which is the platform's income and a filter that keeps casual requests away from busy performers.

### One month, approved the first time

The backend was delivered in the first week with documentation the client called amazing, followed by the React Native app for iPhone and Android and the admin dashboard, all before the deadline. Both store submissions were approved on the first attempt, the Play Store inside two days, so the launch date held.

CoverFanz went live in the US with a five-star review on the contract, and the same client came back for two more projects, including the Invoice Manager app their distribution business runs on.
