Md Moniruzzaman

Flag for bdBangladesh

Md Moniruzzaman is a software architect with 8+ years in the TypeScript and JavaScript ecosystem and the founder of Webanion. He architects AI-native platforms and the multi-tenant infrastructure that runs them: agent systems, MCP tooling, multi-provider LLM routing across AWS Bedrock, OpenAI and Claude, durable workflows on Temporal, and SaaS for 1,000+ tenants with per-tenant isolation, OpenFGA authorization and Stripe billing. Backends on NestJS, frontends on Next.js and React, apps on React Native and Electron, all of it running on production Kubernetes, including clusters he builds and runs himself. He has taken around twenty products from concept to production, most of them end to end.

Founder & Software Architect

Sep 2026 - Present • 2 months

Webanion is my full-time practice. I design and build AI-native platforms and the infrastructure that runs them, agent systems and the guardrails around them, MCP servers, multi-provider model routing, and durable orchestration for work that has to survive failure rather than restart from the beginning. The delivery stack is TypeScript end to end: NestJS and Node on the backend, Next.js, React and Vue on the front, React Native and Electron where a product needs to leave the browser, and self-hosted Kubernetes that I run and operate myself. I take on platform and AI engagements where the hard part is making the system reliable, not making it demo well.

Founder & Full-Stack Engineer

Feb 2021 - Aug 2026 • 5 years 7 months

I founded Webanion in February 2021 and was the engineer on its work for five and a half years: React Native apps, React and Next.js frontends, NestJS backends and Docker deployments for clients in the UK, the US and Bangladesh, Electron desktop apps, a cooperative finance system for Al-Insaf, and the library family that became gm-libs. In September 2026 the role moved from building every project to architecting them.

CTO and Head of Engineering

Technical owner of architecture, infrastructure and technology direction for a platform around a thousand people use every day. Moved the entire live system off managed cloud hosting onto self-hosted Kubernetes with no recorded downtime: a hardened k3s cluster behind Traefik and a Cloudflare tunnel, per-service Kustomize manifests, gated production deploys and out-of-band secret management. A recurring cloud bill became infrastructure the business owns from DNS to disk. Three years on, the same architecture is still shipping without a rewrite, which is the real test of the early decisions.

Lead Engineer

Jan 2025 - May 2026 • 1 year 5 months

Turned a delivered product into one that ships predictably. Consolidated seven codebases into a monorepo with a phase-based release workflow and CI/CD on GitHub Actions: path-filtered builds, automated per-surface versioning and tagging, and gated production deploys. Shipped Prebooked, an embeddable booking widget published to npm that turns any partner site, hand-built, WordPress or Wix, into a booking channel with one line of script. Alongside it a public documentation site, Google Maps trip integration, per-domain CORS management, and continuous store submissions on both platforms across four versioned platform releases.

Full Stack Engineer

Apr 2023 - Dec 2024 • 1 year 9 months

Built the platform from the first commit to production, solo. A React Native app on Expo live on both stores, a customer enquiry site, operator and admin dashboards in React, and a NestJS and GraphQL backend on MongoDB serving all of them, so a booking made anywhere was visible everywhere at once. Square payments, Twilio messaging, live notifications and an offline mode. Containerised with Docker and deployed on DigitalOcean. The only part I did not do myself was the MVP's UI design, by another designer at Webanion; the redesign in phases 2, 3 and 4 was my own.

Fewer, larger and longer engagements, with end-to-end product ownership rather than task work. A UK booking platform taken from MVP to production across forty milestones and still running. An eighteen-month product engagement delivered milestone by milestone, eleven accepted. One client relationship across five contracts and nearly three years. Paid architecture consultations for founders deciding how to build. The work spans mobile, web, desktop and infrastructure: React Native and Expo, Next.js and React, Electron, NestJS and Node, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, Docker and Kubernetes, and increasingly the AI and agent layer on top of it. Top Rated with a 100% Job Success Score across 45 contracts, featured among Upwork's top React Native and React developers, with top 3% global performer recognition in 2024.

Two things came out of it that outlasted any single contract. A 100% Job Success Score held from the start and never broken, and repeat business as a pattern rather than an accident, with several clients coming back three and four times.

On the development team for Edulog Athena I built and optimised software that helps school districts plan bus routes and trips and manage their fleets. I developed new modules such as Field Trip Management, improved the admin dashboards, debugged complex issues, and worked on the integration between routing, mapping and the parent and driver portals, across backend services, cloud infrastructure and frontend interfaces. The aim throughout was safer, more efficient transport and clearer communication for students, drivers and parents.

As engineering lead at WorkflowFiesta, I owned an AI workflow automation product line end to end and directed a distributed engineering team. My work covered agent-driven workflow design, large language model integration spanning multiple providers, and durable orchestration so that long-running jobs resume instead of losing state on failure. Day to day this meant shaping architecture decisions, reviewing and unblocking the team's work, designing safe database migrations, and tracing problems from the interface down through services to the data model. I worked on a multi-tenant platform with per-tenant isolation, and partnered closely with product and QA to turn complex automation requirements into reliable, maintainable systems.

AI Engineering - Agents, MCP Servers and Durable AI Workflows

The platform around the model that takes AI features from demo to production: agents that plan, act and verify, and MCP servers over a business's own systems. Around them sit routing across model providers, durable workflows for long jobs, memory scoped per client, and guardrails that keep a person on every write. The live MCP server behind this site is the working example, and the same engineering ran on an agent-first AI workflow platform serving more than a thousand tenants. It runs on self-hosted infrastructure, so nothing leaves the building.

Fully Booked - All-in-One Smart Booking Solution

Fully Booked is a booking platform for UK minibus and coach hire and the job-sharing network of operators behind it. A customer describes a trip once on the customer website and receives offers from the operators who can serve it, ranked with reviews and vehicle photos, then books with a small protected deposit. An operator who cannot take a job refers the customer from the app, and earns a share when another firm in the network carries it. Around that loop sit quotations, cancellations, Get Covered, partner contacts, stored bookings, a wallet, business pages and the Prebooked widget, all on one backend and run from an admin control room.

Al-Insaf - Cooperative Finance Platform with Ledger and Loans

A cooperative finance organisation was running member records, savings, loans and investor capital across paper and spreadsheets, with no way to audit a branch or close a day cleanly. We built one system that holds all of it: member registration, daily collections, loan application through to disbursement, a multi-branch ledger, investor capital and an audit log that records who did what. Officers record each collection the moment it is made, managers approve loans and close the day, and the permission model decides what each role can see and do rather than hiding buttons. Everything shown in this case study runs on seeded demonstration data; real member records never appear in portfolio material.

Webanion - Headless CMS Portfolio Platform with MCP Server

A static portfolio site could not carry work in five languages or keep pace with the writing behind it, so we replaced it with a platform. A headless CMS holds every case study, article and record; a Next.js front end renders them in English, Bengali, Spanish, Hindi and Chinese; and an MCP server exposes the same content to AI assistants, so an agent asked about this work reads the source rather than guessing from a scrape. Search, media handling, an approval flow and a public discovery layer all run on it. The proof is recursive: the page you are reading is served by the system this entry describes.

A self-hosted homelab that runs the studio, maintained every day

The studio's own infrastructure on a self-hosted Kubernetes cluster, planned in February 2026 and maintained every day since: its website, CMS and MCP servers and the client platforms it looks after, served through Cloudflare tunnels, with every database dumped and checked each night, metrics and alert rules that reach a phone, an outage monitor outside the house, a container registry and an npm registry, and one private console that joins merges, runs, images, pods and nodes on a single page.

When hosted CI became the slowest step, the builds came home

Builds and deploys moved from GitHub's hosted runners, where every run started on a fresh machine and releases waited on queues and incidents, to a runner pool at home: a build machine that takes every job while it is up, and standby runners on an always-on server behind a watchdog that fails towards shipping. Images go to a private container registry and the studio's libraries to a private npm registry, both in the building, and every run is archived past GitHub's retention. The slowest deploy went from eight minutes twenty-four seconds to three minutes five, and CI came out a third faster.

One node became a cluster, and no application had to change

A second machine that can be switched off at any moment joined a running single-node cluster without a change to any application. An always-on server keeps the control plane, every database and volume and the first copy of every service; the build machine takes the builds and second copies of stateless services behind a taint, and those copies wait rather than fall back when it sleeps. It powers itself off when the work runs out and comes back when a job is queued, a console shows every node, workload and availability span, and every CPU request on the always-on server was measured, taking its reservations from eighty-four to fifty-six percent of what it can allocate.

Fully Booked - Zero-Downtime Migration to Self-Hosted Kubernetes

Fully Booked ran on managed cloud infrastructure with a bill that grew every month and a stack nobody fully owned. We moved the whole platform onto a self-hosted Kubernetes cluster without a minute of downtime for the people using it. The cutover covered DNS, ingress, databases and the release pipeline, staged so that traffic shifted only once each layer had been proven on the new cluster. Nobody using the app that week knew anything had happened, which was the point. The recurring bill became owned hardware, and the same cluster now carries the platform's weekly releases.

Fully Booked shipped as five Docker services on one DigitalOcean droplet behind Cloudflare, so a very small team could run a marketplace that holds deposits. Because the services were independent from the start, they later moved to a self-hosted Kubernetes cluster without a rebuild.

Meet Other Talents

Adedeji Tewogbade is a software engineer at Webanion who has spent years building web applications in Vue and Nuxt, React and Next.js, all in TypeScript. He turns complex ideas into simple, intuitive products, with an eye for how an interface looks and how it feels to use. His own work includes Calendza, a scheduling platform that turns availability into one timezone-aware booking link, KudiRaise, a Nigerian crowdfunding platform built bank-transfer first because most donors never reach for a card, Perch, a multi-tenant live-chat support platform with an embeddable widget and a realtime dashboard, and Creda, a directory where people find credible businesses and read community reviews. He led the frontend of Farm Monitor, which helps farmers map and monitor their land, and works past the interface in Node.js, PostgreSQL, Supabase and Firebase when a feature calls for it.

Ajor Moses is a software engineer at Webanion who builds and ships production applications across the stack, from responsive, high-performance interfaces in React, Vue and Next.js to backend services in Node.js and Express. He designs REST APIs and database schemas, integrates third-party systems and owns features from planning to release. He built Velora, a multi-vendor marketplace for curated goods from sellers across Nigeria, end to end: its shop, checkout, vendor onboarding and admin portals, on a NestJS and PostgreSQL API with Paystack payments. At Tesoro, a real estate CRM, he cut bundle size by 30 percent and feature load time by 40 percent and hardened security with JWT authentication and a strict Content Security Policy, and at Easyflip, a cryptocurrency trading platform, his CI/CD automation halved release cycles.

Jawad Ahbab is a software engineer at Webanion with more than five years of contributing to web and desktop products, most of them in TypeScript with React and Next.js on the front end and Node.js on the back end, over MongoDB and PostgreSQL. His contributions include Termi, the open source terminal app for macOS and Linux that he initiated and that Webanion maintains, Iconfont, an Electron desktop app for building and exporting icon fonts, a bilingual online newspaper and its newsroom CMS on Next.js, and Shopify apps and themes, among them an app published on the App Store. He has worked on platforms that passed a million monthly users, and lately works on agentic workflows and MCP tooling that automate development.

Mohamed Bayoumi is a software engineer at Webanion who builds the software clinics, medical labs and HR teams depend on every day, where downtime means a patient waiting. He built Unimedica, the offline-first desktop system that more than a thousand medical labs across Iraq use to take test orders and hand reports to patients, and that keeps working when the internet drops. He also built Ibn Sina, a clinic platform connected to Unimedica so lab results reach the doctor without re-typing, Zone, an HR platform for attendance, leave and salaries, and CliniCore, a dental clinic system in Arabic and English. He has led the front-end architecture of Dockan, a web and mobile platform with more than 140,000 monthly users, and works across React, Next.js, React Native, Node.js and Django, at home with Arabic and right-to-left interfaces.
